Our Children Need Fruit

Its been one of "THOSE" mornings. I'm frustrated. I'm annoyed. I want a massage. I've separated myself from the boys. They are watching Veggie Tales while I have a moment. I've been reciting the Fruits of the Spirit all morning.
"But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control; against these things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23
You know parenting is hard. And sometimes its easy to lose patience and control. But when we lose it. Our children lose it. They mimic us. I've had moments where Isaac gets mad at Liam and it breaks my heart because I see myself in Isaac and how I have gotten upset at him.
So when we produce fruit; when we show our children love. joy. peace. patience. kindness. goodness. faithfulness. gentleness. self-control. They show it in return.

Well now that I've caught my breath. I'm going to go back to being mom. And show my boys the patience and self-control I am lacking today.

  1. I'm sorry you're having one of "those" mornings. But, I am glad I am not the only one who has them. I hope the afternoon is better!
