I Appreciate You

Dear Teachers

There is something I want you to know. I see you.
I see how hard you work. It’s not said near enough, but I appreciate you.
I appreciate your hard work; your labor of love.
I appreciate your early mornings and your late evenings.
I know what you do is meticulously thought out and requires so much more than just school hours.
I appreciate those extra pennies you put in towards making your classroom a fun place for learning.
And to say mere pennies makes this sentiment fall flat. The truth is I know it is far more than that.
The expense you put forth into making your classroom a haven; it’s seen, it’s noticed, it’s deeply appreciated.
I appreciate the hugs, the smiles, and kind words you give.
I appreciate that even when the day is hard you sip on your coffee and keep going forwards.
You teach my children what it means to persevere.
I appreciate your drive to rise through adversity.
Your students see it. Their parents see it. We rise together.
I am thankful for the culture you work to create in our school.
I appreciate how you do your best to unify all our students.
I appreciate how you look at our children and see their potential.
You help shape their dreams and build up future world changers.
Your work is not in vain.
You are difference makers.
You yourselves are world changers.
Please never forget the value you add.
I appreciate you.

I wish I could show my appreciation in more ways because a simple thank you is no where near sufficient.
I hope you know special each of you are to your community. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all you do.

Big Love,

Danielle
