Never Tire

It has been a month to the day since our last post and it feels like a year's worth of things have happened. I have a lot to catch everyone up on so lets get started.
Since our trip to Rapid City God has been doing some amazing things. In my personal life God has been showing me perseverance. 2 Thessalonians 3:13 "and as for you, brothers, never tire of doing what is right."  The days don't have enough hours in them to get to all the needs we have come across in the community.
To help meet some of these needs, Venture has started something that is going to be who we are when it comes to serving our community. Partnering with area businesses, we started Serve the City Sunday. We had our first Serve the City Sunday on March 4th. It was a life changing experience for our whole team. Instead of gathering at 10am for a Sunday celebration service we cooked, cleaned, hauled, dumped, remodeled, fixed, painted,  listened, cared, and loved on two specific families who God placed in our path. Both these families now have become a major part of Venture and will be serving along side us at our next Serve the City Sunday on April 29th. If you want to be a part of this out reach let me know. It doesn't matter how far away you are God will make it work, if you want to help out.
I started a new series in "Kidz Zone" which is our 3-8 year old Sunday children's ministry . We are going through the armor of God. Every Sunday the kids get a new piece of armor to be a knight/princess in God's army. Then on Mother's Day the kids will be fully suited up to present mom with something special.(We will post pictures when the time comes)
We did a Gas Buy Down last Saturday. What we do is find a gas station in town who is wanting to make some extra money on a slower Saturday afternoon. Then for 2 hours we go in and mark down gas on the pumps and on the sign 50 cents a gal. Then when people start piling in, we pump gas, wash window's, and clean out trash. We serve them no strings attached. Just Because is our motto and the card we hand out. Then after the two hours we cut a check to the gas station for the 50 cents difference a gal. We get a chance to bless people in the gas station and who we pump gas for.

One of the most exciting times this past month was our Baptism Sunday. Going in to the Sunday we had 3 people getting dunked. When we left the pool we had dunked 7 people and had one that accepted Christ that morning take the plunge. Amazing time to celebrate with those who decided to take the next step in their walk with God by showing the world through baptism that they have committed everything to Jesus.

Easter is almost here and I am very excited. We are having our 1st ever Easter Egg Scramble. Over 2,000 Eggs will be scattered. We have gift baskets, prizes, drinks, and drawing's for adults. This will be another way for us to serve the community Just Because. Be praying for this event as show the love of Jesus Christ to all who come.

Rapping up, I want to ask for you guys to be praying for the people of Bozeman. In the last week there have been 2 house fires where families have lost everything and a kindergartner at the school I help out pass away.
"Never tire of doing what is right", has been taken to a whole new level. Stay strong ready yourself with the belt of truth, chest plate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, the sword of the spirit, and the gloves of prayer just as the children in Kidz Zone are doing. Do these things and you will persevere through all trials.
