Sun Stand Still
What a crazy crazy week. Andy and I have been reading the book Sun Stand Still by Steven Furtick. The book is about the "Sun Stand Still" prayer. In the Bible, Joshua was the successor of Moses leading the Israelites to their promise land. During a battle with the Amarite army, Joshua was determined to gain full victory. Night was coming near and he knew that once the sun was down the Amarites would flee into the darkness. Joshua was audacious enough to ask God to let the sun stand still, to freeze time. And God did. Joshua defeated his enemies and God's glory was made known.
We believe that God wants us to have that kind of faith, the kind of faith that dare to ask God for the impossible. We know that with God nothing is impossible.
Over the last few weeks we have been praying for a way to do ministry full time. Its why we moved to Bozeman. Andy's hours at work make it almost impossible for him be doing what we know he is called to do. However, this week Andy accepted the position to be the Children's Director of Venture Church. We are excited about the doors that God is opening, but it is not without challenges. The resources available to pay him are limited. We believe God has so much more for us.
We are finding the courage to go forth and ask for financial support from those who believe in our mission. We didn't just move to Bozeman "just because" we came to be missionaries. Having a part time job is not enough to change this city.
Our Sun Stand Still prayer is that we can find enough support so that we can be full-time missionaries to the city of Bozeman.

Please continue to pray for the people of Bozeman and for us as we take these next steps as we watch and wait for the sun to stand still.
